Craftsman is a brand name made exclusively for Sears. Several companies actual have made the tools for the brand name. You can tell which company made the tool based on the prefix of the model number on the older tools. Craftsman offers several chainsaws in varying sizes and prices to fit the needs of numerous customers.

1. Craftsman 14-inch electric chainsaw- This small 2.5 horsepower electric motor saw has a 14-inch blade. It has a sprocket bar adjuster and a manual oiling system for the bar and chain oil. A 14 gauge 100 ft. power cord or shorter is required but sold separately. This economical compact chainsaw is regularly priced at $60.

2. 16-inch electric chainsaw- This electric chainsaw steps up to a 3.5 horsepower electric motor. Its 16-inch blade can cut through a 32″ diameter limb or tree. It has a convenient knob adjuster to tension the chain without any extra tools. This model has an automatic oiling system that lubricates the bar and chain during operation and has a window in the oil reservoir so that you can easily see when you need to refill the bar and chain oil. 3. 16-inch gas powered chainsaw- This gas-powered chainsaw has a 30cc displacement engine with a 16-inch blade. It can cut up to a 32″ diameter limb or tree. It features a Pull-Lite Extreme starter rope system that needs only a slow, smooth pull to get the engine started. It uses an automatic oiling system to lubricate the bar and chain. The bar is adjusted with an EZ adjust sprocket. It also includes a carrying case. This model’s regular price is $160.

4. 18-inch gas powered chainsaw- This larger model has a 40cc engine displacement and a longer 18-inch blade. This Craftsman chainsaw can cut up to a 36″ diameter limb or tree. It also has the automatic oiling system and Pull-Lite Extreme starting system. It includes a case in the regular price of $170.

5. 18- inch gas powered chainsaw- This model is one step-up from the previous Craftsman chainsaw model. It has a 42cc displacement. With all the same features as above, it has the addition of the comfort grip handle to reduce vibration. Regular price is $200.

6. 18-inch model #358360380- This Craftsman chainsaw is similar to the previous 42cc engine but it does not include the vibration reduction system. This model comes with the storage case, hearing protection, plus a folding saw and multi-tool all for the regular price of $190.

Craftsman is a reliable name brand that offers a wide variety of chainsaws for multiple levels of use. If you are only going to do the occasional trimming of small branches, the lightweight electric models make a good choice.
